Contohnya, jika kita punya alamat email “namasaya@gmail.com, maka kita bisa menambahkan string baru di nama email kita dengan menambahkan “+” menjadi “namasaya+baru@gmail.com“. Alamat email ini akan tetap masuk ke inbox GMail kita. Yang nantinya bisa kita tambahkan ke dalam filter email kita.
Lainnya, kita juga bisa menambahkan “.” pada nama email kita menjadi “na.ma.say.a@gmail.com” atau “….na.m.a.s.a.y.a…@gmail.com“. Tentu saja email yang terkirim ke alamat tersebut akan tetap masuk ke inbox kita.

Hal ini berguna untuk menyaring sumber email yang datang. Misalkan kita perlu mendaftar ke suatu website yang mengharuskan kita untuk mencantumkan alamat email kita. Sedangkan kita tidak percaya apakah aman mencantumkan alamat email kita disitu. Dengan trik ini, kita akan bisa mengetahui, website tersebut bisa dipercaya atau tidak.
Pada saat mencantumkan alamat email, tambahkan “+” sehingga menjadi “namasaya+websiteanu@gmail.com“. Dan ketika kita mendapatkan email di inbox kita dengan isi dan sumber yang tidak jelas dan ditujukan ke alamat tadi, maka bisa kita pastikan bahwa website tadi tidak bisa dipercaya. Bisa jadi dia menjual alamat email anda ke pihak lain, atau menggunakannya sendiri untuk hal-hal yang tidak berkaitan (baca: Spam). Dengan begitu anda bisa memasukkan website tadi ke daftar-hitam anda.
Namun cara ini tidak selalu berhasil. Beberapa website menolak penggunaan “+” pada alamat email. Sehingga kita perlu menggunakan trik lain. Gunakan saja “.” pada nama email anda menjadi “nam.a.saya@gmail.com“. Usahakan agar selalu unik. Artinya pola titik yang anda gunakan berbeda untuk tujuan masing-masing, agar memudahkan anda mengingat dimana anda memberikan alamat email tersebut.

catatan: Jika username terdaftar anda adalah “namasaya“, maka anda tidak bisa melakukan login dengan menggunakan “.” menjadi “nam.a.saya“. Ketika login anda tetap harus menggunakan username asli anda. Kecuali ketika pertama mendaftar anda telah menggunakan “.” pada username anda.

Trik lain yang lebih menarik adalah menggunakan alamat “@googlemail.com“. Anda bisa menggunakan alamat email “namasaya@googlemail.com” sama seperti “namasaya@gmail.com. Keduanya milik Google, dan akan masuk ke inbox yang sama. Maksudnya, jika anda telah memiliki account “namasaya@gmail.com“, maka anda bisa menggunakan “namasaya@googlemail.com” tanpa perlu mendaftar lagi. Jadi seakan-akan anda memiliki 2 alamat email (*).

Kenapa harus Google Docs?
Kadang kala editor blog kita memiliki fitur yang terbatas. Dengan Google Docs, kita akan memiliki editor yang lumayan lengkap selayaknya Office Suite. Meskipun belum selengkap Office suite, namun Google Docs masih dalam tahap pengembangan. Dengan status BETA (khas Google) maka Google Docs bisa akan semakin lengkap lagi.
Selain itu, kita bisa mempublikasikan dokumen office kita tanpa perlu menulis ulang.

Contoh berikut menjelaskan penggunaan Google Docs untuk menulis blog pada situs pribadi yang menggunakan Wordpress.
Langkah awal adalah anda harus mempunyai account pada Google. Apabila anda telah mempunyai alamat email pada Gmail, anda bisa menggunakannya.

Setelah login, klik pada menu “Documents” di sudut kiri atas tampilan Gmail anda, atau langsung ke http://docs.google.com/

Buat dokumen baru dengan memilih: “New -> Documents”
Akan muncul halaman baru dan anda bisa memulai menulis blog anda disini, lengkap dengan format tulisan.
Untuk memasukkan gambar, table, atau video, klik pada tab “insert“. Sama seperti anda membuat dokumen pada Office suite.

Jika telah selesai menulis, klik pada menu “File -> Save“. Untuk langsung mempublikasikannya ke blog anda, klik pada menu “Publish” di sudut kanan editor. Akan muncul halaman Publish.

West Coast viewers will get the best show.

Lunar eclipses occur when Earth gets between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow. The view is different from each location on the planet. Along the West Coast of Canada and the United States and in Alaska, the entire eclipse will be visible from start to finish before moonset in the early morning hours of that Tuesday. Hawaiians will see totality – when the moon is completely in Earth’s shadow – high in their sky around midnight.

In eastern Asia and Australia, the event will occur on the same date but in the evening, since for this part of the world it will coincide with moonrise.

What will happen

The Moon will track across the southern portion of the Earth’s shadow, and will be completely immersed for one-hour and 30 minutes, making this a much-longer than normal totality.

Because some of the sunlight that strikes our Earth is diffused and scattered by our atmosphere, its shadow is not completely dark; enough of this light reaches the Moon to give it an eerie coppery glow even when it’s totally eclipsed. It is anticipated that during the upcoming total eclipse the Moon will glow brightest across its lower portion, while its upper part (closest to the center of the shadow) will appear a deep shade of brown or gray.

Nyobain download dari mirror lokal di server Kambing, tapi sampe sekarang ga konek2. Akhirnya ngambil dari mirror luar, ketemunya di server Australia. Tapi sayang, ga ada versi DVD nya. jadi cuma bisa download versi CD. yang jumlahnya ada 6 CD ISO.

Total waktu download semuanya: 00:48:11, duh lebih lama dari yang diharapkan. Karena partial 6 ISO jadinya lebih lama.
